Things to love

New shoes. I can't wait to wear them!

(Weird picture taken as I was changing the bedsheets. Is it bad luck to have shoes on the bed?)

Lilacs from the tree in the back yard. They smell heavenly.

The Postage Stamp quilt. I finished it Saturday night!

Here it is before being washed.

And the back, pieced with leftovers from this quilt as well as O'Cherries.

Just in case I forget who made it (and when).

Photos taken tonight after the quilt was washed and dried. I do like the crinkliness of this one, much more so than I did O'Cherries. It's probably because I kept the quilting so simple on Postage Stamp so washing and drying didn't crinkle up the design and detract from all my hard work.

My neighbour probably thought I was crazy taking photos of a quilt on the front lawn. But, hey, he was bbq-ing without a shirt on. (Don't worry - that's a good thing haha.)

One last shot of the quilt draped over the sofa. I really need to start taking pictures before the sun goes down.

Yep, three things to love today!

p.s. I am linking this post to Fabric Tuesday at Quilt Story.

What would be bad luck is not getting a chance to wear them!

The lilacs look gorgeous and the quilt is cute.

Love all the pictures!! I think it's bad luck to put shoes on the table!

Great finish! In Japan, shoes don't make it past the front entry
but that is more about custom than luck.

As far as I know, it's only bad luck to put shoes on the table. :-) Rockin' quilt -- even if it is crinkly. ha!!

Your quilt is fantastic - great job!! Love the colors and the backing...I like how you put the info about the quilt onto the backing. I'm going to remember that idea for my next quilt.

P.S. Outstanding pair of shoes!!

Gorgous quilt! I love it. I am starting to sort my stash and one of my things I am sorting into is a postage stamp quilt bin. Love yours! Visiting from Sugar Bee's Take a Look Tuesday.

great job! I think anyone who is a neighbour of a blogging quilter must think we are pretty strange. What? Taking pictures of more quilts on the grass...trees...fence?????

You're hysterical! I'm trying to imagine the crazy woman taking pictures of her quilt on the lawn while the camera is accidentally swinging toward the hot bbq'ing guy next door!!! Your quilt looks fantastic -- I LOVE the way it turned out!!!

You go girl! My blocks aren't even finished yet. Total slacker that I am but I'm going to copy your quilting. I love how simple it is but highlights the blocks.

Lilacs are my all-time favorite flowers; I just wish they didn't come and go so quickly. Your postagenstamp quilt is fabulous! And I, too, never seem to remember to photograph my quilts until the sun is going down.
