But it didn't stop all those crazy tourists from hanging around our neighbourhood. Look at them all walking in the rain with their umbrellas.
Many of the bars and cafés closed early tonight - maybe because of the weather; maybe because it was a religious holiday today. It might be quiet on the street tonight.
Unlike last night, when I was - ahem - entertained by this fellow at about one o'clock in the morning:
The video is of terrible quality, but amusing nonetheless. I don't know who told this guy he could sing. They were sadly mistaken. We've actually had to listen to this racket for the past three nights, and his repertoire is quite small.
Not much else to report tonight. I didn't do anything exciting all day. Honestly. In fact, I didn't even leave the apartment until after 11 pm, when I went to call my family from the phone booth on the corner of Boulevard Saint-Michel and Boulevard Saint-Germain.
Between this hacking cough (yep, still have it) and the constant downpour, it just seemed like a good idea to take a day "off".
But we've got another adventure coming up, so stay tuned!

Hope the rain keeps the singer away tonight.
Or...if the rain doesn't keep him away, maybe he will lose his voice by standing out in the rain to sing!
A quiet day tucked away in a parisian flat - still seems romantic and exotic to me!
That singing is awful but it is all part of the environment of Pairs. I love love love the rain!
Enjoy...
sometimes you just need that vacation "downtime".
I agree you deserve a down day! Wishing you some sunshine!
