In my closet

A while ago, I promised you all that I would show you the LBD (little black dress) I made from Butterick 5317. Well, here it is, modelled by yours truly:

As you can see, it's a bit low cut, so I don't think this will be a 'work' dress. I will have to arrange to be taken out on a date in order to wear it. But I love the little pleats in the front and the full skirt. As the OnlyChild says, "It's so Jackie-O!" (even if I'm not).

Photos were taken by the OnlyChild with her fantastic camera, Francis (everything has a name).

And here is the skirt I made using the same pattern as my Très Chic Skirt, without the fancy schmancy netting. This fabric is Deer Valley Antler Damask by Joel Dewberry. I got it from the Fat Quarter Shop, now one of my favourite places to browse on the web. If it weren't for the delay caused by shipping (2-4 weeks), I'd do all my fabric shopping there.

Honestly, this has got to be the most comfortable skirt I own! And look at that fabric. I it!

Okay... I know you didn't tune in today to read my gushing about fabric or be exposed to extreme boobage in that black dress. Nope, you want to know who won my 100th post celebration giveaway, don't you?

The Random Number Generator chose...

Numero seize... That's LillySue by my calculations. Congratulations! You're going to have to give me a list of things you like, LillySue, so I can pick out something especially for YOU!

Wow~ what a surprise, to win your 100th post giveaway! I am getting near my 100th post and 100th follower...I may have to have a double giveaway. Hmmm~ I am pretty easy to pick for, I like 40s vintage anything, stuff with cupcakes on it, I love things with words printed on them, especially "Bliss, Peace & Hope" and of course PINK. Crafty scraps are also fun to get...little trim pieces and do~dads! I will email you my address. I hope you have fun plans for today. We have a local butte they shoot a big show off of....they usually light the hillside on fire at least once and keep fire trucks handy to put out the fire, heehe!
Blessings~LillySue

LBD is very cute, as is the skirt. What I love, though, is the basket on the bike - I want a bike/basket like that!!!
