No Finish

No finish for the Friday Night Sew-in, but I did spend a little time working on A Tisket a Tasket, and now all 12 blocks are stippled and I've started the borders.

I didn't get started until about 8:00 pm. I had a ripping headache, which made me just want to lie down on the couch and sleep, but it gradually went away. Mr. P asked if I wanted to get a movie and that sounded like a good idea - I could do some hand-sewing, maybe finish sewing all the coins and beads onto my new veil for dance. But then he decided to make supper... and I waited for him. Then he wanted to finish the episode of Law and Order he was watching... and I waited. Finally I said, "Are we going to get a movie or not?" and his reply was, "Ahhh... I'm feeling too comfortable and lazy to go out."

Grrr... I could have been sewing all that time instead of waiting for him. That'll teach me.

So, a couple of hours of sewing was all I got in. But that's okay... at least I had a bit of time. And this quilt will get finished when it's ready to get finished, I guess.

Not much else to share today. I think my posts must be getting boring...

All told, what with having a delayed start, you got a lot done on your ATAT - that must feel really good! Its looking great, and I love the stippling on the blocks. What are you doing for the borders? IK was staring at my blocks that still need the machine stitching on the applique, thinking "maybe this week" - I don't think I have any evening meetings this week for a change! This weekend will be doing my Potholder Pass2, between moving the SD back in and making dinner for her and her fiance tonight...

Your block looks so good. I think I've asked you this before, but what is stippling? Oh, and can we see the veil with the coins and beads? :)

Sorry to hear about your headache, but that's good it gradually went away instead of sticking around all night.

Did you receive the stitch markers yet?

I too wasn't feeling too crash hot, but managed to finish a stitchery block and do some crochet.

Love the ATAT block.

Not at all boring. Especially the bit about your husband getting supper. Doesn't happen in our household... alas. Mine is a nice chap but he doesn't cook. Spoiled by his mother... and me too, I suppose.

Progress is good. Life happens.. and that's ok. I'm glad your head felt better - headaches are the worst.

I love the colors in your squares - it looks like it will be very pretty once put together.

Your NEVER boring. I'm sorry you had a headache. I hate migranes. They are awful.
Love your little applique block. Very cute.

It's looking great Rachel! Looks like it was a good decision to abandon the straight quilting -- the stippling looks really pretty next to the baskets!
