I left my ♥ in Italia

I'm baaaack!

Why do I always feel such a sense of loss when I return from a great trip? Real life is so boring!

Despite the issues with the tour guide and the other groups, we had a FANTASTIC time with our 30 kiddies. They were wonderful - fun, excited, energetic, polite and very entertaining.

After 10 days of travel, constant walking, incredible heat and amazing sights, I should be exhausted. But I'm not. I'm ready to go back.

So what did we do?

We went to Venice

I look fat in this picture, but I don't have many other photos of Venice so...

We went to Florence

Not the real David - I couldn't find him, remember?

We went to Pisa

And then to Florence again.
At the Palazzo Pitti

Then to San Gimignano, a wonderful medieval village, where we saw the Torture Museum and ate the BEST gelato in the world. This was one of my favourite places that we visited.

Such beautiful scenery!

Then we went to Assisi

And on to Pompei
This was my group - love these kids!

Then to the Amalfi Coast - Vico Equense and Sorrento.

Dipping my feet in the Bay of Naples - Heaven on such a hot day!
My other favourite stop was Sorrento. I could quite happily live there!

And finally to Roma!

One last group shot (a couple are missing). I am in the bottom right corner.

I didn't take as many pictures as I did on last year's trip, but I will be meeting up with the other chaperones this week and we are all going to exchange photos. I hope someone took a picture of the bus driver...

Sigh... bello!

oh! all your beautiful photos reminded me of my time in Italy. LOVED Florence, had a lovely tour of Pisa...wish I was there longer. It was a "side" trip from my time in Greece. Had a friend living in Florence at the time....oh to live the life of the young again--really?? maybe not! I'm happy with the photos and the memories.

Welcome back! Although, I believe as I am writing this, you are on your way across the pond again. Looks like a lovely trip, but I must disagree - your real life is not boring! I love reading your blog and all the fun, creative things you do. I remember when I first started reading your blog a year or so ago, there was a photo of you in a dress (I think one you had made) with a bicycle with a basket on the front and I thought, "what a neat person!" especially when I saw that you were taking belly dancing lessons!
