So, I'm sewing along, finishing the last of the blocks for my Checkerboard quilt, and I'm making good time. I'm just cruising!
I finish sewing, take them to the ironing board and press all the seams nicely.
Then I start to lay out the blocks according to the directions in the pattern.
And guess what...?
Arrrggghhh! I've sewn the second set of blocks together wrong. So the rest of this lovely Saturday evening will be spent picking out stitches.
Oh what fun!
I did get these made, though. Valentine's pillowcases for the OnlyChild.
I started them last night after I got home from my hair appointment, which was pretty late. Then, of course, I made a mistake and had some unpickin' to do. What the heck is wrong with me? Anyway, I gave up around 11:00 pm and went to bed. The finishing went smoothly this afternoon.
Back to those quilt blocks. Grrrr.

must have been a bad sewing day. If you go to my blog you will see that i couldn't seem to get it right either.
Very Pretty Rachel -- and perfect for your little Valentine!
sorry....so frustrating!!! Your pillow cases are lovely.
Cute pillow cases! Sorry you had to do so much picking out of stitches. That's got to be frustrating if it's anything like ripping your knitting. Hope you have a happy Valentine's Day!
You are tooo funny. When I make silly mistakes, I stop, take a rest, have a cup of tea and then try again. If it doesnj't work it goes on the pile "to do" and I try something else. Happy Valentines Day!
Pretty pillow cases!
Sewing mistakes happen? It's not you!
Happy Valentine's Day!
I've found that if I make one sewing mistake, I am liable to make a bunch of them, so I usually limit myself to two mistakes a day. After that, I am just setting myself up for frustration. Sorry you had a bad sewing day.
Oh yeah.. I heart ya!
I wish I would stop at one but NNOOO I will keep going and mess up yet again! Hard headed!
Love the pretty case!!!
Hugs,
Lola
Very pretty pillowcases for Valentine's day. Even if you had to pick some stitches. I need to remember to do that next year (or start with Easter). Pillowcases for Punkie to celebrate the holidays.
Sorry about the bad sewing day...
Love the fabric you used in the pillowcases. They look beautiful!
