Close your eyes and... CUT!

Bernice has a brand new needle and her #37, quarter-inch presser foot.

She's been filled up with good quality, neutral-coloured cotton thread.

I've ~ gasp! ~ taken the ribbon off the Moda Jelly Roll and Charm Pack.

And I started making some simple quilt blocks.

I know, I know... what about the Let it Snow quilt I blogged about many times, including here, and here, and just yesterday? Did you read those words: LET IT SNOW? I think I might be jinxing myself by even thinking about that quilt. It did snow here. All weekend. No, I'm not joking with you! The snow didn't stick around, but I definitely don't want Mother Nature to think I'm extending an invitation, either.
.
So... out with the Snow and in with Spring. I need to work with pretty colours ~ pinks and yellows and greens and turquoises. The other stuff will wait. Really, it will. And in the middle of summer when I can't stand the heat, I'll take out the Christmassy and Wintery quilts and work on them then.
.
For now, I just need to get me a bit of Springtime. And maybe, just maybe, the weather will follow suit.

Good for you! Wishing Spring your way! And I'm really liking your simple quilt blocks. I never know how to put things together without following a pattern on paper. but I think I can handle this. Time to add more jelly rolls to my stash...

That's going to be very pretty. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Oh...never apologize for unfinished quilts!!! It's GOOD to have unfinished quilts...really it is. And you have a novel idea....work on quilts with warm weather colors in the cold weather and then in the hot weather, work on the cold-weather fabric quilts!! :)

First I want to say I loved your skirt and shoes...I tried to comment but if I read you first and am not signed it, well...it just makes it difficult. Love your Moda...can't wait to see what you are making.

The new quilt blocks are so cheerful and pretty. I hope your Spring spell works. If it does, maybe you should make a quilt with fabric with money all over it ... or Eiffel Towers :-)

Yes....think Spring. It is snowing here today. I like it better than 90* and everything burning up though,so I shan't complain!
